Barbara Gordon de los Reyes, Serviam Community Foundation’s Lifetime Trustee and Advisory Elder, devoted more than 30 years of her life to the Catholic Renewal Movement, both here and abroad. Together with her late husband Sonny, they invested in the building of God’s kingdom, through ministries involving pastoral care, discipleship, prayer and worship. They were an indefatigable team that drew thousands into a personal relationship with the Lord.
She has option for feeding people, the guiding hand behind the cultural landmark and heritage restaurant in Intramuros, Manila, visited by locals and tourists. Thus, we can say, providing food is her calling to the body of Christ both spiritually and physically. She faithfully teaches God’s truths, providing encouragement to the hurting and to the broken hearted, a calling borne out of a deep personal experience and relationship with the Lord. Barbara is an example of a Proverbs 31 woman, Tita Bai to many, mother of four and grandmother of eleven. She keeps herself busy managing her restaurant and catering business, but above all her main focus is her Father’s business.
One of the things that Bai is grateful for is the love, care and discipline she received from the Belgian sisters of St. Theresa’s College and her training at the University of the Philippines where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree.
